International Theravada Buddhist Academy: Hubli, Karnataka, India; This Monastery is an internationally recognized Theravada Buddhist academy, practicing forest monk’s tradition. It is a well known monks training centre in the world. The original teachings of Lord Buddha is taught here, as how the monks were practicing during Buddha’s time. The training and practice is very scrupulous and precise. The monks training is given by the practically well experienced and strictly practicing most respected Acharya Venerable BHIKKHU BUDDHAPRIYA Thera, who is internationally well known practicing monk in forest Buddhist monks tradition. This monastery emphasized mainly on the practice of Dhamma and Vinaya. The principle of monastery is to concentrate on practical training of monks. In this monastery ,monk from various part of India and monk from Germany are practicing Theravada Buddhist tradition . People across the world like Germany , Canada, Srilanka, Burma , Thailand etc.. come here and take monk training and meditate seriously . This is also a meditation centre where the Vipassana Meditation being taught. The lay people i.e. house holders can learn and participate in meditation courses being conducted here.
